A little about me

After spending what feels like an eternity finding my way around on here and making my blog look kinda jazzy, it would probably be a good idea to actually post something!

What do you write about in your first blog? Anything you want, I guess! I think the most obvious thing would be to say hello and tell you something about myself, so here I go.

My name, as you can tell by the little About Me section, is Grace. I have a wonderful husband, Steve. We became parents back on 27 February 2010 when we were blessed with our son, Harry. Steve and I met in our freshman year at Stanford, and married in July 2006. We moved to Washington, DC in that same year right after Steve graduated Law School. We currently live in Georgetown and are moving to a bigger house in the next few weeks. I love living here and can't imagine wanting to live anywhere else. I work for a software company as a client resource manager. I really enjoy my job, but like a lot of working Mom's I sometimes feel guilty not being at home with Harry. I do not have a great work/life balance, it is something I am constantly working on.

Outside of work, I love to bake. I have enough cookbooks to open my own store, that's for sure. Ever since i was small I have loved to read. I have a serious purse habit that I try to hide from my husband but never manage to. I try to play golf, but I have to admit I love it more for the opportunity to catch up with my friends than the actual game! Although I took some classes in photography a long time ago now, I haven't put a thing I was taught into practice. I am incredibly frustrated with the side of me that constantly has to plan, organize and make lists, I think I spend more time making lists than actually doing the things on them. My guilty pleasure is wasting time looking at websites advertising houses for sale in Italy. Steve and I went there for our honeymoon and fell in love with the place.

I have no idea what I am going to blog about in the future, a little bit of anything and everything would probably be the best bet. Thank you for reading this - I hope to see you again soon!
